In these days of wanting to reduce the amount we drive for the sake of the planet as well as our purses, the recently refurbished pub just down the road has proved to be an excellent attraction for our guests. A country pub with real ales and guest beers, there are armchairs and a woodburning stove in the bar. The restaurant is open every day and apart from providing a good evening menu, lunches and bar snacks are available. Groups can book one of the small side rooms. Every Sunday evening there is live music. The Oak has become very popular with local people as well as visitors and you are assured of a warm welcome there. It is walkable from the cottages within 5 minutes.
