Being held this year on November 28th-29th, this is a popular start to the Christmas season. Last year the fun included The Plantagenet Society, different medieval musicians and minstrels, how to build in the medieval way, theatre, archery, falconry and other entertainment. There were also lots of exhibitors with stalls selling anything and everything from books and jewellery to furniture, food and drink. There were even stalls selling armour and period music and instruments and one trading in “dragons, fairies, knights, handmade cloaks and handpainted shields”! There’s everything for the re-enactor too. I just can’t wait to go. We have availability left in The Wainhouse (for 2) only -£224 Friday to Monday.
