Wild daffodils at Kempley.

Are you fed up of the snowy weather? Why not look ahead to Spring and plan a short break? This year’s dates for Kempley Daffodil Weekend are March 20th - 21st; a short drive from here, the weekend offers the opportunity to join organised walks along the daffodil way or minibus tours of the daffodil fields and woodlands. You can learn about the “daffodil railway” that in former times used to bring people down to this lovely area from Birmingham and London, and then after your walk, enjoy the home-made teas and stalls in the church grounds. The event raises funds which are given to the Fabric Fund of St. Edward’s church and during the past year went towards important electrical rewiring work and general maintenance.
