Last weekend saw a very romantic occasion at The Woodhouse; Freeda and Chris having gone through a civil marriage a few days earlier, celebrated further by holding a ceremony in the beautiful surroundings of The Woodhouse garden. A table was set up under the spreading branches of our wonderful old oak tree, and bride and groom exchanged vows to the sounds of a harp, played exquisitely by Eleanor, from the Liverpool Philharmonic. Guests relaxed afterwards on the lawns with a picnic and played croquet, boules and badminton. It was a happy occasion, made all the more special for being held here at this historic English country cottage.
