Beckford Fine Art, a local independent Fine Art consultancy, is holding a contemporary Art exhibition of paintings by local artists John Darlison, Colin Simmonds and David Williams between Feb. 2nd and 15th at the library in Ross-on-Wye. The pictures range from land and seascapes to portraits and still-life compositions in oils, watercolour and pastels. Many, like the one of Glasbury-on-Wye above, are inspired by the local countryside though there are exotic locations as well. We have been to a previous exhibition of David Williams, and his pictures of the sea are stunning. We have met Colin Simmonds as he is a near neighbour of very good friends, and I particularly like his floral paintings.
