A Merrie Medieval Christmas

On December 12th and 13th there will be a Merrie Medieval Christmas at the National Trust property at Lower Brockhampton near Bromyard. This medieval timber-framed building set in the loveliest setting (apart from The Woodhouse!) is holding a festive event to celebrate and enjoy the decorations, music and atmosphere of a medieval Christmas.  With an instantly recognisable timber-framed gatehouse, you may well have seen photos of Lower Brockhampton in advertising for Herefordshire. The inside of the hall is very reminiscent of The Woodhouse but bigger and grander. We always think that the builders of the original Woodhouse may have paid a visit to Lower Brockhampton, liked what they saw and tried to copy it. Less affluent than the owners of Lower Brockhampton, they were unable to build anything quite as grand. Normal admission prices apply for entry to the event, (free for National Trust members), which is held from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. All our cottages are available at present, due to a cancellation.
